Alberta Wildcraft: Transparency & Milestones
Rooted in Tradition. Verified by Results.
At Alberta Wildcraft, we believe that a traditional craft deserves honest representation. Our journey hasn't been about marketing trends, but about a 15-year commitment to the boreal forest. We are proud to share the real-world milestones that reflect the trust our community has placed in our family.
A 15-Year Journey: From Urban Foraging to Rural Home
Before Alberta Wildcraft was a business, it was our family's way of life.
- The Early Years: Our story began as urban foragers in the city, where we spent a decade learning that a connection to nature and the art of the harvest can be found anywhere.
- Established March 2021: We officially launched Alberta Wildcraft as a professional brand, operating across both Etsy and our original Wix storefront. During these years, we focused on harvesting and selling premium raw resins and clarified, filtered resins.
- A Full-Circle Harvest: Long before our gum launch, we were a trusted source for artisanal resin-based goods, including handcrafted soaps, wild herbal teas, and restorative balms.
- The Gum Launch: In Spring 2024, in direct response to requests from our loyal resin customers, we introduced our dedicated spruce gum tins. Launched from a small butler's kitchen, our gum was designed to meet the growing demand for traditional boreal chewing resin.
- Leduc County Roots: Today, we continue our legacy from our new rural home in Leduc County, where we manage every harvest and every order ourselves.
3,500+ Physical Units Hand-Filled
We track our success by the physical containers we personally prepare. Since Spring 2024, we have hand-filled and shipped over 3,500 units, including our signature gum tins, sample packs, and starter bags. Every unit represents a piece of the forest, cleaned and prepared with care.
We don't count individual resin pieces. Every unit listed here is a complete, packaged spruce gum tin or package — hand-filled and shipped by our family. 3,500 units. Every one accounted for.
Proven Demand: By the Numbers
Our spruce gum has become a benchmark for quality across Canada, with growth driven by word-of-mouth and verified results.
- $35,000+ Revenue from our Flagship Tin: On Etsy alone, our signature 35g tin has generated over $35,000 in revenue with 1,188+ verified sales in just 24 months.
- $12,700+ Gum Revenue: Since late October 2025, our Shopify store has moved 383 gum units across 356 total orders. This ratio shows that our customers frequently choose to stock up on the quality they trust.
- A Multi-Channel Presence: These milestones do not include our significant wholesale partnerships, our local market sales, or our personal monthly delivery runs to families in Edmonton and area.
- Steady Momentum: We currently average 80 to 100 orders per month, a number that continues to climb as our community grows.

Beyond the Screen: In-Person Education
We believe in teaching the tradition. This summer, we are taking Alberta Wildcraft to local markets across Alberta, hosting in-person classes to share the traditional art of warming and chewing boreal resin.
The Next Chapter: 2026 and Beyond
As we settle into our new home and production space in Leduc County, this year marks our most ambitious chapter yet.
We are a homeschooling family of seven, and we invite you to join our 8,000-strong Facebook community to follow along as we build this legacy together, one hand-harvested tin at a time.
